What material are the Thermomix® ROCKSTARS made of?
Just like for a stone oven, the material used to make Thermomix® ROCKSTARS is a special stoneware mix that is poured into a mold and fired.
What is the advantage of the Thermomix® ROCKSTARS in comparison with traditional metal or ceramic oven dishes?
The Thermomix® ROCKSTARS provide even heat distribution and, in contrast to metal and sealed ceramic, are able to absorb moisture from the food and then release it again evenly. This means, for example, that a loaf of bread made in the Betty baking dish will have a fantastic crust and crumb.
My casserole dish is discolored. What can I do?
The discoloration or non-stick layer that is formed naturally during use is normal and actually a desired feature. This layer ensures that the food does not stick to the dishes and that pizzas, etc. can be easily removed from the stoneware. The products should only be cleaned using hot water and a standard washing-up sponge.
Can I make any of the oven-baked Cookidoo® dishes in the Thermomix® ROCKSTARS?

Can you recommend any recipes that should definitely be tried using the Thermomix® ROCKSTARS?

What do I need to do before using the product for the first time?
Rinse it with hot water, but no detergent, and then dry. Products should only be cleaned using hot water and a standard washing-up sponge. To ensure that the non-stick layer is able to form quickly, rub a thin layer of fat or oil with a high smoke point into the product and allow it to soak in. Caution: do not use olive oil (no virgin oil) or oil spray for this! Tip: more frequent oiling/greasing of the products will encourage the formation of the desired non-stick layer.
What guarantee/warranty does Vorwerk provide on the Thermomix® ROCKSTARS?
Thermomix® ROCKSTARS come with a statutory warranty of two years.
Is the Thermomix® ROCKSTARS dishwasher safe?
The Thermomix® ROCKSTARS are NOT suitable for use in a dishwasher as this will cause the non-stick layer created by frequent use to lose its effect. Detergents should also be avoided. Clean the products with hot water and a standard washing-up sponge or brush. Further information on use can be found in the instructions that are enclosed with every Thermomix® ROCKSTARS.
How heat-resistant are the Thermomix® ROCKSTARS?
The Thermomix® ROCKSTARS are suitable for use in ovens with static heat, hot air ovens, and fan-assisted ovens. They are heat-resistant up to 230°C, but are NOT suitable for use in the microwave. Further information on use can be found in the instructions that are enclosed with every Thermomix® ROCKSTARS.
How long do the Thermomix® ROCKSTARS take to form a non-stick layer?
The products develop a natural non-stick layer following use over a period of time. This effect can be accelerated through regular greasing and/or by cooking dishes that contain more fat during initial use. This natural non-stick layer will change the appearance of the non-glazed surface, but this is a desired natural process.
Can you cut in/on the products?
Yes, you can cut in/on the product, however, it may blunt the knife you use as the Thermomix® ROCKSTARS are made of open-pored, abrasive stoneware. When cutting in/on the product, the friction caused by the knife may leave black marks on the product. These marks can largely be removed using water and a standard washing-up sponge. The functionality of the stone will not be affected.
My product has cracked during use – how could this have happened?
The surface of the product must always be 2/3 filled/covered to ensure optimal, even heat distribution. Frozen foods must be defrosted beforehand. Do not preheat empty dishes. The products should not come into direct contact with the side of the oven or the oven door.
Will the Thermomix® ROCKSTARS become available in other colors at any point?
There are currently no plans to make Thermomix® ROCKSTARS in additional colors.
Can I also buy the Thermomix® ROCKSTARS as a set?

Can I put the stoneware product on the stove to brown something?
A stoneware dish is not a pan or frying pan and therefore cannot be used as such! Stoneware is only designed for use in an oven. It is not possible or intended for food to be browned in a stoneware dish. The browning should be done separately beforehand using appropriate cookware. Even heating in a pre-heated oven is required in order to enjoy the full effect of the stoneware – cooking delicious dishes in the case of the “Betty” baking dish, for example.
