The Kobold VR7 robot vacuum cleaner offers Wi-Fi connectivity for users to control and manage the device through their mobile devices. The robot vacuum cleaner supports IEEE802.11 b/g/n communication protocols in the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi frequency band and WPA3 and WPA2-PSK encryption standards for secure data transmission.
If you have activated a MAC address block in your router, you can find the MAC address (also known as 'Robot ID') on the type plate at the bottom of the robot vacuum cleaner to enable it. However, it's best to avoid using mobile routers as they may cause connection issues.
To establish a Wi-Fi connection, connect the charging cable to the charging station, position the robot vacuum cleaner on the charging station, and turn it on. Then, activate the wireless interfaces (Wi-Fi, etc.) on your mobile device and follow the instructions in the MyKobold app.
If you want to remove the robot vacuum cleaner from your home network, press the left or right selection key until the Wi-Fi LED flashes white. While the LED is flashing white, hold down the information button for at least 10 seconds. This will reset the Wi-Fi settings.
