My SP520/530 won’t switch on and immediately flashes red?

Please don’t close the secondary air flap until after you have switched the vacuum cleaner on.

If you close it before you switch the vacuum cleaner on, the flap will open again, the red light will come on and the appliance won’t work.

In this case, the appliance is not faulty and doesn’t need to be repaired.
