How do the scales work on the Thermomix® TM5?

The Thermomix ® TM5 weight sensors work with so-called strain gauges. That is why the TM5 scale is exact and quick. 

Forget to remove the lid before starting the scale? Simply press the “Tare” button to reset the scale to zero each time you need to add and weigh a new ingredient. With the TM5, you can now also use the scales while the motor is running at low speed, which means you can add additional ingredients as you work.

For everyday use in the kitchen, this translates into simplicity, speed, and one less device on the worktop. Just press the scale button on your TM5 to activate the scale.

You can even pause a cooking step and weigh in more ingredients then when you resume cooking your Thermomix remembers where it got too and finishes the cooking step.

TIP: Be sure that the Thermomix® is laying on the flat shelf, and all the legs are stable on it.
