To avoid getting food stuck to the bottom of the mixing bowl, please make sure you always clean it after cooking.
If specks of food remain on the bowl’s surface, the chance of it sticking and burning is much higher, because of the high temperatures in these areas. Other ways food may burn include:
- The ingredients are cooked for too long
- The ingredient mix is not moist enough, i.e. there are too many dry ingredients or does not have enough water
- A thick dish like risotto was not stirred between the recipe steps and thick ingredients settle on the bottom
Burned food can be cleaned from the mixing bowl by soaking in hot, soapy water for 20-30 minutes and scrubbed with a green cleaning pad and/or steel wool. You can also try leaving the bowl overnight with boiling water and a dishwasher tablet inside.
