RE-Conneting an Offline VR300, proceed as follows
1. Connect your Tablet/Smartphone to the WLAN, in which your VR300 robot should also be integrated.
2. Bring VR300 robot into HOTSPOT mode using the WLAN-grip (see picture).
To do this, hold down the START button 1 and the right side of the front bumper 2 simultaneously. The bumper is correctly pressed when you hear a click.
3. Keep them pressed until all lamps on the VR300 robot go out and then release the grip.
4. When starting up, all LED displays now light up in sequence. It is in HOTSPOT mode when its WLAN symbol 3 slowly pulses (once in two seconds).
5. Open the app on your tablet/smartphone with your login data and select "Add Robot", select "VR300". The app explains all further steps, but please note that you will not need to press-hold the two function buttons on the robot to activate the hot-spot as you have already done this in Step 2-3-4 above.
6. If you are unable to re-connect your robot, please make sure you have SW version 4.6.3 or newer. The SW update is available here (link to 4.6.3)
VR ROBOT DOES NOT APPEAR IN MY WIRELESS LIST
Make sure that your suction robot is in HOTSPOT mode. Its Wi-Fi symbol 1 pulsates slowly.
If you are unable to find the Robot WiFi try:
Option 1: Turn the Wi-Fi slider on your tablet/smartphone off and on again.
Option 2: Turn off and then on the Wi-Fi function of your suction robot. To do this, simultaneously press and hold the Soft-Touch Buttons 2 for more than four seconds, the Wi-Fi symbol 1 must go off. When the two Soft-Touch 2 buttons are held down again, the Wi-Fi symbol 1 comes on again and should pulsate slowly. If it does not pulsate, please use the Wi-FI - grip as described at the beginning of the article.

THE ROBOT GOES OFFLINE IN STANDBY MODE
If you frequently notice that the connection between your robot vacuum cleaner and home network is lost, it may help to assign a fixed IP address to the robot on your router menu. The robot vacuum cleaner will appear as ‘VR_Vacuum’ on your router menu.
CONNECTING TO THE VR ROBOT NETWORK
The next step of the set-up process involves connecting your mobile device to the robot hotspot ‘VR_Robot’. This will allow your mobile device to connect to the VR robot vacuum cleaner. This connection is necessary so that the Kobold Robot app can transmit the information for Wi-Fi access to the robot vacuum cleaner. Your tablet/smartphone may display a message such as ‘no internet connection’ or ‘unsecured network’.
This is not a problem. Please continue to follow the instructions in the Kobold Robot app. Do NOT cancel the set-up process.
PERSONAL WI-FI NETWORK DOES NOT APPEAR ON THE LIST
If your own Wi-Fi network does not appear on the list of networks that have been found: Manually enter the exact name 1 and password 2 using the ‘Search for another wireless network’ 3 button. As long as this has not been changed, it is the SSID on the back of your router.
IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO CONNECT TO THE SERVER
If you were unable to connect to the server in the last step of the set-up process, it may be necessary to make changes to the internet permissions or parental controls on your router. The robot requires free internet access so that all of its features can be utilised. Change your settings as required and go through the set-up procedure again.
SEVERAL DEVICES CONNECT TO THE VR ROBOT
If the ‘Add robot’ connection process fails at the last step:
step ‘1. Connect to selected Wi-Fi’, it could be due to one of the following three reasons:
- The Wi-Fi signal is too weak at the place where the robot is located.
- Several mobile devices are connected to VR Robot.
This can happen if devices have been connected to ‘VR Robot’ before. They will then connect again when VR Robot appears. Take these devices offline or set them to flight mode.
- Check the browser’s router settings to see whether a MAC address filter has been configured. If so, enter the robot ID here (for example F0:45:DA:1D:D0: C0). This 12-digit number, separated by colons, can be found on the back of your robot vacuum cleaner.
THE ROBOT GOES OFFLINE WHILE IN OPERATION
If you notice that your robot is shown as being offline in the app while it is running, it could be because the Wi-Fi signal is very weak in some places in your home.
When your robot is shown as being offline in the app, you cannot control it at that time using the app. The cleaning run, including the robot’s observation of nogo lines, will not be affected.
