Switch off the unit before ANY retooling, cleaning and maintenance work and disconnect the power plug of the base station.
Step 1. Empty and clean the dust container after each use to ensure optimum cleaning using one of the following methods:
Method 1 – press the release button of the dust compartment cover and open the dust compartment cover; place a vacuum cleaner on the suction opening and switch it on at maximum capacity.
Method 2 – pull out the dust container using the green tab; open it by pulling the filter on its narrow side, by the green nose of the filter frame; empty the contents using a brush, or vacuum using a conventional vacuum cleaner.
Step 2. Clean the filter using a vacuum cleaner at regular intervals:
Remove the filter out of the dust compartment. Vacuum it from both sides and/or clean it with a soft, dry cloth.
The pleated filter material is covered with a pre-filter to protect it against soiling and damage. Between these two, fine dust and fibres can accumulate after some time. It is not possible and it is not needed to clean this dust as it does not impact the performance.
In order to achieve optimum cleaning performance, we recommend replacing the filter once a year.
Step 3. Clean the side brush after each use to ensure optimum performance of the device using the following method:
Using two hands, pull the side brush by the green brushes upwards from the drive axle. Remove dust and dirt from the side brush. Remove lint, hair and other dirt from the drive axle.
Step 4. Clean the round brush after each use to ensure maximum results from your device using the following method:
Place the vacuum cleaner robot upside down. Remove the side brush. Using two hands, press the locking latches on both sides at the same time and push forward to unlock the bracket. Remove the brush cover by first lifting the left side and then remove the right side from the axis. Remove lint, hair and other dirt from the round brush, making sure that the green metal bearing at the left end of the round brush is not loosened. Make sure dirt and hair are not stuck near the green metal bearing at the left of the brush or at the right-hand side where it connects to the engine that moves it. Never clean the round brush with a damp cloth or in the dishwasher. Make sure that after placing the brush back, the locking latch is audibly engaged.
Step 5. Clean the sensors after each use in order to get the best results using the following method:
Clean the floor sensors on the underside, the wall follower sensor on the right side and ultrasonic sensors on the front side with a cotton swab or a soft, clean cloth, NEVER with pointed or sharp objects. If necessary, use a vacuum cleaner to absorb all specks of dust that you cannot reach.
Step 6. Clean the vacuum cleaner robot and the base station regularly using the following method:
Clean the robot and the base station with a soft cloth, clean cloth. Do NOT submerge them in water. Do NOT use scrubbing sponges or aggressive liquids, e.g. petrol or acetone.
