All robot features are available in MyKobold app.
Why do I have to share my location during the integration process in order to connect my VR robot?
This is a requirement associated with iOS 13 to enable the app to connect with your WiFi as well as the VR robot. Your location will not be used or analyzed by us in any way.
How can I create a floor plan?
You can create an initial floor plan via the “Create floor plan” tile. Otherwise, you can also create another floor plan via the drop-down arrow at the top center of the “Cleaning area” tile.
Where can I make changes to no-go lines or zones?
Go to “Cleaning area” and tap on the pencil icon at the top right. Select no-go lines or zones, depending on what you want to edit.
Can the Kobold VR300 robot vacuum cleaner store more than one floor plan?
Yes, the VR300 can store up to three floor plans and these will be displayed in the app. This means that you can create floor plans for several stories or buildings and use all of the robot’s features, such as no-go lines or zone cleaning. In the “Cleaning area” section, you can select your first floor plan at the top center of the display and then click on “Add new floor plan”. Alternatively, you can also start another floor plan in “Create floor plan”.
How can I rename a floor plan?
In the “Cleaning area” section, select the particular floor plan at the top center of the screen. Tap on the pencil icon in the top right corner and then select the three dots at the top right. There, click on “Rename floor plan” and enter the new name.

What are no-go lines?

How many no-go lines can be incorporated into a floor plan?

How can I remove no-go lines from my floor plan?
In the “Cleaning area” section, you will find a pencil icon at the top right. From there, navigate to the three dot icon at the top right and you will be able to remove no-go lines there, amongst other things. If you want to remove a single no-go line, select it in the “...” section under “No-go line” in the displayed floor plan and press “Delete”.
Can I move no-go lines within my floor plan?
In the “...” section, you will find a pencil icon at the top right. Tap on this and then select “No-go line” at the top left. You can now select individual no-go lines on your floor plan and move or delete them as you wish.
What is zone cleaning?
Zones are rectangular areas defined by the user for the robot to clean. These zones can be created and named within a floor plan. In the “Cleaning area” section, you can either click on the required zone or outside the floor plan to clean all areas. Once a particular zone has been selected, the robot will only clean that area.
How do I add zones to my floor plan?
In the “Cleaning area” section, you will find a pencil icon at the top right. Tap on this and then select “Zones” at the top right and you will be able to add them. Tap on “New zone”, draw the zone with your finger and save. You can either name the zone manually or use the suggested names.

In the “Cleaning area” section, you will find your saved floor plans with colored zones marked on them. Click on the white circle inside the zone to select this as the next to be cleaned. To vacuum all areas, tap on the white area outside the floor plan. The area selected to be cleaned next will be shown in the oblong box underneath the floor plan. You can also select here whether the cleaning should be done in Eco mode.
How can I create a schedule?
In the “Schedule” section, you can set the time that you want the robot to clean. You can specify on which days and in which zones the cleaning should be done and whether Eco mode should be used.
How can I carry out spot cleaning?
You can start this cleaning mode in the “Spot cleaning” section. An area of approx. 2 x 2 meters will then be thoroughly cleaned. You can specify whether Eco mode should be used and whether the spot area should be cleaned more than once. The size of the spot area can also be increased to 4 x 4 meters.
How can I carry out manual cleaning?
You can start this cleaning mode in the “Manual cleaning” section. You then control the robot manually using the arrow buttons on the remote control that appears on your screen. To use this mode, it is imperative that you are in the same WiFi network as your robot.
Can I also use the Kobold Robot skill by Amazon Alexa with the MyKobold app?
No, once you have logged into MyKobold using your robot account, you will need a new skill – the MyKobold Robot skill by Amazon Alexa. Deactivate the Kobold Robot skill and then activate the MyKobold Robot skill.
Now link your Alexa skill to your robot account.
Can I use the Kobold Robot app and the MyKobold app for my robot at the same time?
No, once you log in to your Kobold robot account in the MyKobold app, you can no longer log in to the Kobold Robot app – it can be deleted.
How many floor plans can I store in the VR300?
You can create and store up to three floor plans.
When will the Kobold Robot app be deactivated?
The Kobold Robot app will remain in the Apple App Store/Google Play Store until around mid-November in order to ensure that the app can be updated with the new features before then.
The next step will be for the Kobold Robot app to be removed from the Apple App Store/Google Play Store, but it will still be possible to use it for a few more months.
The Kobold Robot app will be deactivated in Germany during the second half of 2020 and previous users will be notified by email and within the app that they need to switch to the MyKobold app.
What will happen if I log into the MyKobold app using my Kobold Robot app account?
All your information will be transferred from the Kobold Robot app into the MyKobold app. You will therefore find saved floor plans, no-go lines and previous cleaning overviews in the MyKobold app.
Do I need to reconnect my robot once I have logged into the MyKobold app using my Kobold Robot account?
No, you remain logged in, even after restarting your smartphone.
