How does my Thermomix Friend® connects with the Thermomix Friend® app?

The Thermomix Friend® must be connected to the app only once. After that, the app will recognize the Thermomix Friend® and will connect automatically as soon as the app and the Thermomix Friend® are started. You should follow these steps to use the Thermomix Friend® app:

The app is supported under  Android 6.0  or higher and iOS – 11.4 or higher.

1. Download the Thermomix Friend® app from the App Store or Google Play using your smartphone.  
2. Make sure that you have activated the Bluetooth®® function on your smartphone and switch on the Thermomix Friend®

For Android users: please ensure you activate your location tracking, which is used for successful connectivity with your cooking station for technical reasons only.  

3. Open the Thermomix Friend® app and select your Thermomix Friend® from the list of available devices. A six-digit code will be displayed on the Thermomix Friend®.  
4. Compare this code with the code on your smartphone and press the selector on the cooking station to confirm the pairing process. 

Your app will now recognize the Thermomix Friend® and will connect automatically as soon as the Thermomix Friend® is switched on, the app on your smartphone is opened and the Bluetooth® activated. If the connection has been successful, a Bluetooth®® and smartphone symbol will appear on the Thermomix Friend® display above the timer. 

Why do I need the Thermomix Friend® app? 

In order to guarantee that your Thermomix Friend® can be updated to the most current software (which might be relevant for user-friendly changes in the device behavior over time), you can easily connect/pair it to the Thermomix Friend® app. The Thermomix Friend® app is required to update the software, if you cannot do it via the TM6. 

What functions are included into the Thermomix Friend® app?

The app is only to download a new software version for the Thermomix Friend®. There are no other functions included and no customer or Thermomix® data is saved or handled.

Can I connect my TM6 or TM5 with the Thermomix Friend® app?

No, you cannot connect the Thermomix®TM6 or TM5 with the Thermomix Friend® app. The app function is only to connect to the Thermomix Friend® to download and install updates to the Thermomix Friend®.
